Navigating The New Normal

So how’s the “new normal” treating ya?

Sucks eh?

Truth is, pretty much everyone in the Canadian business community is having to adapt on the fly during this pandemic. It’s uncharted territory for all of us. And the uncertainty – the “ifs” and “whens” – could drive a guy batty.

Many companies that fall under the umbrella of essential services – like grocery stores, truckers & delivery services – might be experiencing a surge in work while simultaneously trying to heighten safety measures for their customers and staff. A unique, stressful challenge, no doubt.

Others (let’s be honest … most) are trying to find ways to continue generating revenue, reach customers and maintain their supply chains amidst mandated store and plant shutdowns. Another never-before-seen challenge. Strange times for sure.

At FD we’ve been able to keep our presses running, albeit with some added safety measures to do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19. But being in an industry that sells solely B2B, when many businesses are closed, is our current challenge. And like many trying to find the silver lining of this dark cloud, we’re hoping that our online platform will allow us to stay working for you – and possibly welcome some new clients that are now seeking a “contact-free” form buying experience or are simply trapped at home with the world wide web as their only tool to help them run their businesses. If you have the ability to connect with your customers (or potential customers) remotely – I’d encourage you to do the same. Even if you don’t sell online, email lists, Facebook, Instagram … these are all great ways to keep your brand present for when we DO get back to normal and buying activity improves.

So many businesses rely on NCR forms to maintain their workflows. I always joke with customers that if you don’t buy from us, then nobody can buy from you (as many of our forms are for billing purposes … such as invoices, work tickets, etc.). If you’re a current client, know that we are doing everything we can to maintain the high level of customer service you’ve come to expect. I have no doubt that our team will treat you like gold.
